Privacy Policy

Effective October 2, 2026

Photessa helps you search, organize, rediscover, and clean up your photo library. Its analysis runs on your device. We do not operate an account or server for Photessa, and the app does not send your photos, videos, search history, face groups, or analysis to us.

What the app accesses

With your permission, Photessa reads your Photos library to show and analyze its contents. It can make changes to Photos only when you choose an action, such as adding an item to an album, applying a rule, or confirming a deletion. Deletions use the system Photos confirmation and follow Photos' Recently Deleted behavior.

Photessa stores an analysis index, review decisions, and app settings on your device. If you enable People, it stores face-group information locally. You can erase analysis from the app's Privacy screen. Photessa does not keep a separate copy of your photo or video library.

Services you choose to use

Collection and tracking

We do not collect data from Photessa for analytics, advertising, or profiling. The app contains no advertising or third-party analytics SDK and does not track you across apps or websites. Apple may process information when you use its system services, under Apple's own privacy terms.

Backups and deletion

The analysis database and face vectors are excluded from device backups. Names and labels you assign to people, with small photo-position references used to reconnect them after a restore, may be included in your device backup; face vectors are not. Turning People off removes its saved data. Erasing Photessa's analysis does not delete photos from your Photos library. You can also remove the app and its local data using your device's app management controls.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy when Photessa changes. The effective date above shows the current version. For questions or privacy requests, email support@photessa.com.
